The Weinmanufaktur Alte Zuckerfabrik estate was founded in the spring of 2013 on a historical site in Laucha on the Unstrut river. The wines are produced in limited quantities using grapes from various parcels in the surrounding, small-scale vineyards along the Saale and Unstrut rivers. Cellar master Johannes Beyer is responsible for selecting the grape suppliers and overseeing individual cellar operations, with oak barrels playing a significant role in the maturation process. Marcus Schubert handles sales and marketing, focusing on gastronomic businesses and specialized retailers. The portfolio caters to customers seeking high-quality wines from the Saale-Unstrut region.
