About the estate

The Hubertus Triebe wine and sparkling wine estate manages approximately 14 hectares of vineyards in the Saale-Unstrut wine region. The estate-owned vineyards along the White Elster river comprise the Salsitzer Englischer Garten single vineyard with soils characterized by weathered variegated sandstone and clay. The first vineyard was planted in 1999, followed by the first vintage harvested in autumn 2001. The grape variety portfolio includes Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Dornfelder, among others. In addition to mechanical harvesting, great importance is attached to manual harvesting, particularly for the base wines used in sparkling wines.
