About the estate

The Weingut Winzerbar is managed in Naumburg on the Saale in the Saale-Unstrut region by young winemaker Manuel Flechtner, who comes from a long-established winemaking family. The vineyards on the banks of the Saale include plots whose oldest vines were planted by ancestors and feature grape varieties such as Chasselas, Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Portugieser, and Dornfelder. The estate farms its steep slopes on shell limestone soils in an environmentally friendly, vegan manner without the use of herbicides, relying on manual labor in the vineyard. The wines thrive on the Naumburger Steinmeister premier cru site, are produced in small quantities, and are bottled in trendy half-liter bottles. All produced wines are categorized under the different labels Weinbar, Winzerbar, and Kostbar.
