About the estate
The Domaine Montgros estate is located in Laurens within the AOC Faugères denomination and was established through a participatory investment model. Maxime Sécher took over the property in 2019, which is situated on schist soils at an altitude of up to 350 meters. The vineyards comprise two units in Cabrerolles and Caussignojouls and have been in conversion to organic farming since 2020. The cultivated grape varieties include Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. Management practices focus on avoiding chemical treatments, maintaining low yields, and utilizing soil-friendly methods involving manual work and tracked vehicles.
