Domaine Montcabrel

About the estate

Located in Cazedarnes in the Languedoc region, the Domaine Montcabrel estate is managed by the Calmette family in the fifth generation with a history dating back to 1892. The vineyards extend across five communes on clay-limestone soils, cultivating Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsault, and Viognier. The estate practices organic farming, featuring early morning harvests and traditional vinification methods with temperature control. Maturation takes place in stainless steel vats or oak barrels depending on the specific cuvée. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Languedoc, AOC Saint-Chinian, IGP Pays d'Oc, and Pays d'Hérault IGP denominations.
