About the estate

The Domaine de l’Escattes winery is located in Calvisson in the Languedoc-Roussillon region within a valley shaped by natural springs. The Robelin family acquired the estate in the late 1970s and focused operations on producing terroir-driven wines. Since François Robelin took over the estate in 2009, the vineyards have been managed according to organic farming standards. The vines are planted on stony clay-limestone soils on hillside plots and benefit from a cool microclimate. During vinification, the estate combines traditional methods with modern equipment to produce wines under denominations including AOC Languedoc and AOC Languedoc Sommières.
