Domaine de Cebene

About the estate

The Domaine de Cebene estate was founded in 2007 by Brigitte Chevalier and her family in Faugères in the Languedoc region. The eleven hectares of vineyards are situated at an altitude of 300 metres in a dramatic mountainous and terraced landscape with a predominantly northern exposure. The vineyards are farmed organically, with vines ranging from twenty to over seventy years old rooted in deep, distinctive schist bedrock. All grapes are harvested entirely by hand and processed carefully in the custom-built, underground winery carved directly into the rock. The portfolio features terroir-driven wines vinified and aged in stainless steel vats as well as sandstone and terracotta jars.
