The Lauge Jean et Fils estate is located in the heart of the AOC Faugères appellation, with vineyards stretching between 200 and 300 meters of altitude on complex schist soils. The grape variety selection focuses primarily on Carignan and Mourvèdre, two varieties historically present on these hillsides. The winery has been certified organic since 2011 and follows traditional practices, including gobelet pruning, complete soil tillage, and manual harvesting with sorting directly on the vine. This careful vineyard management aims to preserve soil vitality and reflect the unique characteristics of the local terroir in the wines.
