About the estate
The Mas des Brousses estate was established in 1997 by Géraldine Combes and Xavier Peyraud in Puéchabon in the Languedoc region. The vineyards cover nine hectares on limestone soils and gravel within the Terrasses du Larzac area. The estate is farmed organically with manual vineyard management and hand harvesting. Red varieties such as Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, and Merlot account for the majority of the plantings, alongside a parcel with several white grape varieties. Vinification is carried out separately by parcel using indigenous yeasts to preserve the identity of the terroir.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Viognier and Chenin Blanc. The estate sells to horeca and retail. Export markets include Belgium.
