Domaine Zacharioudakis

About the estate

The Domaine Zacharioudakis estate is located on the Orthi Petra hill in the south of Crete, farming an organic vineyard with a total area of 20 hectares. The steep slopes featuring limestone soils combined with the mild Mediterranean climate provide optimal conditions for cultivating both international and indigenous grape varieties. The cultivated red grape varieties include Kotsifali and Syrah, while white varieties such as Vidiano and Vilana are also grown. Inside the modern multi-level winery, the grapes are processed gently using gravity alongside temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Selected wines are aged in oak barrels within the underground aging cellar before bottling takes place directly on the estate.
