About the estate

The ΙΔΑΙΑ ΟΙΝΟΠΟΙΗΤΙΚΗ winery was founded in 2000 by oenologists Vasilis Laderos and Kalliopi Volitaki in the village of Venerato south of Iraklio. This family-run estate is located in the heart of the Cretan vineyard within the Dafnes PDO zone. The vineyards are situated in a mountainous topography on north-facing slopes at altitudes ranging from 400 to 550 meters on predominantly limestone and barren soils. Due to the mountainous terrain, all vineyard tasks as well as the harvest are carried out manually. The objective of the estate is to highlight the native grape varieties and the multifaceted Cretan vineyard.
