About the estate

Located in Bevaix in the Three Lakes region, the Domaine des Balises estate has been owned by the Nicolet family since 1856 and is currently run in the fifth generation by René-Pierre Nicolet with the assistance of his wife Véronique. The approximately six hectares of vineyards are mostly situated along the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, benefiting from a south to south-southwest exposure and clay-limestone soils. The grape variety portfolio consists of forty percent Chasselas and forty-five percent Pinot Noir, complemented by specialties such as Pinot Gris, Doral, Galotta, Gamaret, and Garanoir. The wines are produced under the AOC Neuchâtel denomination.
