About the estate
The historical Cru de l'Hôpital estate manages thirteen hectares of vineyards in the Vully region near Lake Murten, spread across the Fribourg and Vaud parts. Owned by the bourgeois community of the town of Murten, the property has been managed by Christian Vessaz since 2002. The vineyards are farmed entirely biodynamically and have been Demeter-certified since 2013, completely avoiding synthetic pesticides and herbicides. The portfolio includes classic grape varieties such as Chasselas and Pinot Noir as well as various specialties vinified through minimal cellar intervention and natural fermentation. The wines reflect their origins in distinct terroirs and are available for private clients and gastronomy.
