About the estate

The Les vins Porret estate in Cortaillod has cultivated seven hectares of vineyards in the Neuchâtel region since 1858. Today, the traditional winery is managed by the fifth and sixth generation of the family. The grape varieties cultivated in the lake area include Pinot Noir, Chasselas, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gamaret, and Divico. All vineyard parcels are farmed organically without the use of herbicides, promoting local biodiversity. The grapes are harvested and sorted exclusively by hand, fermented in underground vats dating from the early 20th century, and aged in large wooden casks or oak barrels.
