About the estate
The Carl-Friedrich L. Walther estate was founded in 2017 and cultivates a vineyard area of nearly one hectare in the Kaatschener Dachsberg single vineyard site in Thuringia within the Saale-Unstrut wine region. On weathered shell limestone soils with loess-loam, the winery grows Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir. Organic farming has been consistently practiced since the beginning and the estate is certified. Through selective manual harvesting in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar, authentic organic wines are produced. The wines are distributed through partners and specialized wine trade.
