About the estate

The Ryon Jean-François estate is located in Vernantois in the Jura region on a blue marl terroir that imparts a characteristic mineral note to the wines. The family looks back on a winemaking tradition in the village dating back to the 15th century, while the current estate was re-established in 1992. The vineyard area covers two hectares spread across seven plots, all cultivated organically. The cultivated grape varieties are Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, and Trousseau. Vinification relies on indigenous yeasts, and the majority of the cuvées are produced without added sulfur.
