Mas d'Espanet

About the estate

The Mas d'Espanet estate is located in Saint Mamert du Gard in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and was established in 1980 by Denys Armand. Spanning 20 hectares of vineyards, the family-run winery follows biodynamic principles while integrating into the surrounding nature and the garrigue. The property cultivates old red grape varieties such as Grenache Noir, Carignan, and Cinsault alongside various white varieties thriving on diverse soils. Vineyard management relies on the lunar calendar, soil cultivation, and grazing sheep, complemented by manual harvesting. In the cellar, the grapes are processed by gravity before vinification and aging take place in tanks, foudres, demi-muids, and amphorae.
