Domaine Moulin de Paillo

About the estate

The Domaine Moulin de Paillo estate has been cultivating 23 hectares of vineyards in Soumensac in the Lot-et-Garonne since 1999. The name of the property originates from a former windmill, of which only vestiges remain today. The terroir features a landscape of hills and valleys with soils composed of crushed limestone and boulbenne clay. The red grape varieties grown include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, alongside Sauvignon, Sauvignon Gris and Sémillon for whites. Working with respect for the environment, the winery avoids chemical fertilizers and relies instead on manual and mechanical methods.
