Domaine de Pouteou

About the estate

The Domaine de Pouteou estate is situated in the heart of Gascony amidst the rolling hills of the Bas-Armagnac and is run by the Tarbe brothers. The vineyard soils consist primarily of sables fauves alongside parcels of clay and silt soils. The grape varieties cultivated for the production of the estate's bas-armagnacs are Baco and Folle Blanche. The portfolio also includes young armagnacs such as Blanche Armagnac as well as Floc de Gascogne. The spirits are aged in oak casks made from the estate's own wood in cellars located on the remains of a feudal motte.
