About the estate
The Domaine du Comte de Thun estate is located on the Plateau Cordais in the north of Gaillac in southwest France. Ferdinand von Thun acquired the property with the historic Château de Frausseilles in 1998 and renovated it. Across 27 hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates grape varieties such as Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir. Collaborating with enologists, the estate produces powerful wines with an elegant structure. Distribution takes place through selected merchants and the estate's own online shop.
