About the estate

The Labène family estate Chateau Saint Mery in Languedoc was among the pioneers of estate-bottling in the region. The vineyards extend across two distinct terroirs within the Minervois appellation, ranging from the rocky slopes of Tourouzelle to the pebble-strewn valleys near Marseillette. Influenced by the Mediterranean climate, the plots feature old Grenache vines planted in the 1960s alongside Merlot. The winery emphasizes environmentally friendly practices, avoids synthetic pesticides, and relies on sustainable soil management for which it holds certification. Vinification is carried out using temperature-controlled techniques and, for many cuvées, without the addition of sulfites.
