Château Castigno

About the estate

The Château Castigno estate is located in Assignan in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and covers 32 hectares of vineyards with old vines, some of which were planted in 1902. The vineyards are situated on a limestone terroir between woods and garrigue at an altitude of 280 meters. The estate operates according to organic and biodynamic methods, uses horses for soil cultivation, and harvests the grapes by hand. The grape variety spectrum for white wines includes Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Grenache Gris, and Carignan Blanc, while red wines are predominantly made from Carignan, Grenache Noir, Syrah, Cinsault, and Merlot. The wines are vinified without additives and with native yeasts to preserve the characteristics of the terroir.

The estate sells to distributors and importers.
