About the estate

The Alvio Pestarino estate was founded in 1919 when Giovanni Pestarino purchased a farmhouse with a small vineyard in Capriata d’Orba. Today, the winery is managed by the fourth generation of the family, with the estate vineyards located in the same municipality. The cultivated grape varieties include Cortese, Dolcetto, Barbera, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Viognier, and Timorasso. The production focuses on traditional regional designations such as Gavi DOCG and Ovada DOCG. In the vineyards, the estate applies integrated pest management principles to maintain a balanced ecosystem and ensure high grape quality.
