Weingut Heilig Grab

About the estate

The Weingut Heilig Grab estate in Boppard, Middle Rhine, is the oldest wine tavern in the town and has been family-owned for more than 230 years. The vineyard area covers four hectares in the steep slopes of the famous Bopparder Hamm. Eighty-five percent of the vineyards are planted with Riesling, while the remainder is devoted to Pinot Noir. Following gentle grape processing, the white wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks, whereas the dry Pinot Noir is traditionally matured in old oak barrels. The portfolio includes dry, semi-dry, and fruity-sweet wines ranging from Kabinett to Auslese.
