About the estate

The August Perll winery from Boppard on the Middle Rhine is a traditional family estate owned since 1606, which is managed today by Thomas Perll. In the steep slate slopes of the Bopparder Hamm, the estate cultivates its vineyards with an inclination of up to 70 percent exclusively by hand. These extreme steep slopes with grey and blue slate require a high level of manual effort and a strict selection of grapes through complete hand harvesting. In the cellar, the winery relies on minimal intervention to produce mineral and long-lived wines as well as German sparkling wines. Sustainable management is carried out in harmony with the natural rhythm of the vines and the preservation of the cultural landscape.

The eno directory lists 23 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
