About the estate
The Weingut Scholisch estate in Leiwen is a family-run winery currently undergoing a generational transition, combining accumulated experience with fresh perspectives. The vineyards extend for 15 kilometers along the Moselle river and include sites such as Leiwener Klostergarten, Dhroner Hofberg, and Detzemer Maximiner Klosterlay. Cultivated on steep slate slopes, the focus lies primarily on Riesling alongside classical Pinot varieties. Vinification takes place in historic cellars through slow, controlled fermentation using natural yeasts and extended yeast contact. The portfolio ranges from estate wines and single-vineyard wines to traditional method sparkling wines.
The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir.
