About the estate

The Scev Pymont-Marguerye estate is located in Villeneuve-sous-Pymont in the French Jura region and cultivates a geologically complex terroir featuring limestone soils, blue marls, and gryphaea limestone. The vineyards sit at an altitude of 300 meters with optimal southeast exposure, benefiting from a privileged microclimate characterized by continental influences and significant diurnal temperature variations. Chardonnay serves as the primary grape variety, lending the characteristic wines their pronounced minerality. Since 2024, the winery has been officially certified for organic agriculture, working consistently without synthetic pesticides and utilizing spontaneous fermentations. The portfolio of the producer includes the protected designation of origin Crémant du Jura.
