About the estate
The Domaine Cartaux-Bougaud estate is a family-run winery located in Arlay in the Jura region, with historical ties to the Château de Quintigny. The estate manages approximately 15 hectares of vineyards featuring clay-limestone soils and marl subsoils across the communes of L’Étoile, Quintigny, Ruffey-sur-Seille, and Arlay. The grape varieties cultivated include Chardonnay and Savagnin for white wines, alongside Pinot Noir, Trousseau, and Poulsard for red wines. In addition to white and red wines from the AOC Côtes du Jura and L’Étoile appellations, the winery produces Crémant du Jura, Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille, and Macvin du Jura. All production steps follow traditional methods, including aging in oak barrels.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Savagnin and Chardonnay.
