About the estate
The Zacharioudakis estate is situated on the island of Crete in the settlement of Plouti on the slopes of the Orthi Petra hill. The organically farmed vineyards cover an area of 20 hectares on stony, calcareous and sloped soils. Cultivated grape varieties include the reds Kotsifali, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, alongside the whites Vilana, Vidiano, Malvasia di Candia, Malvasia Aromatica, and Sauvignon Blanc. Winemaking takes place in a modern, multi-level winery designed to utilize gravity during production. The wines are aged in an underground cellar and bottled directly at the property.
