About the estate

The ΟΙΝΟΠΟΙΕΙΟ ΔΙΑΜΑΝΤΑΚΗΣ estate is a family-run winery located in the Dafnes viticultural zone on the island of Crete, specifically in the village of Kato Asites at the foot of Mount Psiloritis. The privately owned vineyards lie at altitudes between 240 and 700 meters with a northern exposure, benefiting from a cooling sea breeze during the summer. On limestone soils, the family cultivates indigenous grape varieties including Vidiano, Assyrtiko, Liatiko, and Mandilaria. Established about twenty years ago by brothers Zacharias, Michalis, and Giannis following in the footsteps of their ancestors, the winery focuses on expressing the unique microclimate of the region. The operation combines traditional values with modern production to craft distinctive regional wines.
