Pichler

About the estate

Based in Rohrendorf bei Krems in the Kremstal region, the Pichler estate exclusively processes grapes from its own vineyards. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, followed by gentle pressing and cool fermentation in the wine cellar to emphasize typical varietal aromas. Red wines undergo a warmer open-mash fermentation, while cellar interventions are kept to a strict minimum. For maturation, light white wines are aged in stainless steel, whereas reds rest in large oak barrels in the Rohrendorfer Kellergasse. The portfolio features wines such as Grüner Veltliner and Donauveltliner from the Kremstal DAC denomination.
