About the estate

The traditional Türk estate is based in Stratzing in the Austrian Kremstal region and looks back on a three-hundred-year history run as a family business across generations. Covering 17 hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates sites featuring loess, primary rock, and conglomerate soils, many of which meet the criteria of Erste Lage. With over 75 percent of the vineyard area planted to Grüner Veltliner, the focus lies heavily on Austria's flagship variety, complemented by other wines aged patiently with extended yeast contact. Under the direction of Franz Türk, the estate combines traditional winemaking craftsmanship with the goal of bringing the distinct character of its origin into the glass. The wines are distributed through a network of partners as well as via the winery's own online shop.

The eno directory lists 24 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The estate sells to retail.
