About the estate
The Maria Casanovas winery was founded in 1984 in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and is managed today by the siblings Jordi, Jacint and Rosa Maria Carafí Casanovas alongside the younger generation member Aurora. Since 2011, the estate has been located on a farm in Piera, producing exclusively Cava Brut Nature under organic farming practices. For the traditional method of bottle fermentation, the winery utilizes native Penedès grape varieties such as Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada, alongside Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The aging process follows traditional techniques with a maturation period ranging from one to five years.
