About the estate

Established in 2014, the Kirchknopf estate manages 14 hectares of vineyards in the Leithaberg DAC region. The vineyards are characterized by soils of mica schist and Leitha limestone, which impart a distinctive minerality to the wines. Michael Kirchknopf farms the parcels by hand, focusing on a slow vinification process and extended maturation. The portfolio includes grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Neuburger. The origin of the wines is significantly shaped by the interplay of cool nights from nearby Lake Neusiedl and the forested slopes of the Leitha Mountains.
