About the estate

The Esterházy estate in Trausdorf an der Wulka is one of the most traditional wineries in the Pannonian region with a history spanning over 300 years. On the limestone slopes of the Leitha Mountains, the winery cultivates 65 hectares of organically certified vineyards. The focus lies primarily on the Blaufränkisch and Chardonnay grape varieties, which reflect the Pannonian climate. For sustainable vineyard management, the team relies on gentle pruning, manual labor, and its own compost production. In the cellar, the winery combines traditional methods with innovation, aging the wines in Leitha Mountain oak, clay amphorae, and concrete eggs.
