Herdade do Freixo

About the estate

Established in 1808, the Herdade do Freixo estate is located in Redondo within the Alentejo region and is dedicated to preserving the rural landscape. The vineyards are cultivated on the slopes of the Serra d’Ossa, and harvesting is conducted manually using small boxes. In the cellar, gentle winemaking techniques involving stainless steel tanks and barrels are employed to preserve freshness and terroir expression. The portfolio features diverse white, rosé, and red wines crafted from varieties such as Arinto, Touriga Nacional, and Alicante Bouschet. Winemaking operations are led by winemaker Diogo Lopes, with assistance from Dina Cartaxo.
