The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito was founded in 1960 to protect the vineyards, wine production, and ancient lifestyle of this wine sub-region. The cooperative relies on approximately 237 members who cultivate around 1266 hectares of vineyards and produce approximately 8 million liters of wine per year. Its viticultural heritage includes indigenous grape varieties perfected over generations, among which Antão Vaz stands out as the muse of the winery. This variety gives rise to an exceptional white wine widely recognized as the white wine of Alentejo. The modern and prominent winery combines the preservation of ancestral techniques, such as Vinho de Talha, with sustainable practices from the vineyard to the cellar.
