About the estate
The Herdade do Perdigão estate is situated in Alto Alentejo near Monforte and spans a vineyard area of 70 hectares. Wine production on the property began in the 1990s, followed by significant development in the 2000s with the construction of a new winery. The Mediterranean climate and sandy-loam soils derived from granite shape the vineyards, where predominantly traditional Portuguese grape varieties such as Aragonez, Trincadeira, Antão Vaz, and Arinto are cultivated. Led by winemaker David Patrício, the winery combines historical heritage with modern viticultural practices.
