Forster Weinbau

About the estate

The family-run Forster Weinbau estate is managed in the fifth and sixth generation above the rooftops of Weinfelden in German-speaking Switzerland. The winery cultivates around four and a half hectares of vineyards on sunny slopes at the Thurberg with the Bachtobel site designation. For two generations, the estate has bottled its own wines independently from planting the vines to the final bottle. Alongside traditional grape varieties such as Müller Thurgau and Pinot Noir, the portfolio also includes fungus-resistant and sustainable new varieties such as Sauvignac, Laurot, Blütenmuskateller, and Prior. In the cellar, the winery relies on traditional methods including mash fermentation for red wines.
