About the estate
The Domaine Sarrabelle estate is currently managed in the eighth generation by the brothers Laurent and Fabien Caussé as a family winery. Located in Lisle sur Tarn within the Sud-Ouest wine region, the property encompasses 50 hectares of vineyards. The vines are situated on the right bank of the Tarn river, featuring south-to-southeast-facing sandstone slopes as well as deep sandy-clay soils in the adjacent plains. The grape variety portfolio comprises four white varieties including the traditional regional grapes Len-de-l’el, Mauzac, and Muscadelle, alongside Chardonnay, as well as six red varieties such as Braucol, Duras, and Syrah. Winemaking involves aging portions of the wines in clay amphorae to preserve natural aromas and enhance the structure.
