About the estate

The Domaine du Météore estate is situated high in the Languedoc mountains, where vines grow within and around a meteorite crater that struck a hillside ten thousand years ago. The domaine's vineyards span the schist soils of the Faugères and Saint-Chinian appellations. Surrounded by garrigue scented with wild thyme, fennel, and cistus, the winery produces organic wines inspired by the local landscape. Nestled in the Haut-Languedoc national park, the property welcomes visitors for tastings and walks amidst views stretching down to the Mediterranean.
