Domaine de Grimardy

About the estate

The Domaine de Grimardy estate is located in Montazeau in southwest France and has been managed by two winemakers following a career change in July 2021. Spread across ten hectares of vineyards in the Montravel terroir, the property produces organic wines, with seventy-five percent originating from old vines. The soils of the parcels, which benefit from optimal sunshine exposure, are predominantly composed of clay and limestone with fossilized oysters and marl. The grape variety portfolio includes red varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, alongside white varieties including Sauvignon gris, Sauvignon blanc, and Sémillon. Farming is conducted according to organic practices, and the entire production process from vineyard work to bottling takes place directly on the estate.
