About the estate
The Domaine Cauhapé estate is located in the Béarn region around Monein in Southwest France and is headed by Henri Ramonteu. The winery cultivates 50 hectares of steep hillside vineyards where hand-harvesting has always been practiced. The portfolio includes both aromatic dry wines and sweet liqueur wines under the AOC Jurançon and AOC Jurançon sec denominations. In the cellar, vinification takes place on a plot-by-plot basis using small stainless steel vats and oak barrels for maturation. Half of the production is aged in oak barrels while the other half remains in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatic profile.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Petit Manseng. The estate sells to horeca.
