About the estate
The Chateau Martinolles estate is located on the hillsides of Saint-Hilaire in the foothills of the Pyrenees within the Languedoc region, encompassing 84 hectares of vineyards. The area is considered the cradle of traditional sparkling winemaking, where the first sparkling wine was created in 1544. Alongside the vineyards, the ecologically diverse property features an olive grove, pine forests, and oak trees, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate and gravelly clay-sand-limestone soils. Signature wines include barrel-fermented Chardonnay, white Crémants, red Limoux blends, and traditional method sparkling wines. The wines are crafted and aged in stainless steel tanks, small wooden vessels, and French or American oak barrels.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Chardonnay.
