About the estate

The Domaine Cailhol Gautran estate is situated on the initial foothills of the Massif Central in the heart of Languedoc and has been managed by a winemaking family for five generations. Spanning 70 hectares, the organically farmed vineyards are classified under the AOC Minervois and are located on a south-facing limestone plateau at an altitude of 250 meters. The planted varieties include Mediterranean grapes such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Roussanne, Marsanne, Rolle, and Muscat petits grains. The family relies on plot-by-plot vinification, low-intervention farming methods, and aging in terracotta jars, oak barrels, and stainless steel tanks.
