About the estate
The Domaine du Gres Vaillant estate is located in Saint Polycarpe in the Languedoc and has been cultivated by Aigline de Causans and Laurent Maffeïs since 2017. The origins of the property date back to the thirteenth century when it was founded by Benedictine monks. Across eight hectares of vineyards, surrounded by a diverse landscape of forests and meadows, the estate produces wines under organic farming. The vineyards sit at an altitude of around three hundred meters on clay-limestone soils over sandstone, benefiting from Mediterranean influences and the freshness of the Pyrenees. Draft horses are used for vineyard work, and harvesting is done entirely by hand.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Mauzac and Sauvignon Blanc.
