Cava Almirall

About the estate

The Cava Almirall winery is located in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia within the Catalonia region and produces sparkling wines under the Cava – Comtats de Barcelona and Cava DO designations. The history of the estate dates back to 1950 when Jaume Almirall produced his first sparkling wine using grapes from his own harvest. Initially managed alongside other work, the growing demand eventually led to a full-time dedication to winemaking and cellar operations. Today, the family business is run by the descendants, who continue to cultivate the vineyards with the traditional values passed down by the founders. While the core production process remains true to its origins, technical advancements have been integrated to assist with manual operations.
