About the estate

The CASCINA DELLE ROSE s.s.a estate is located in the Piedmont region of Italy within the municipality of Barbaresco and is run by the Rizzolio family. The history of the property dates back to 1948 when the grandparents acquired the farm, which was originally part of a larger estate encompassing the Rio Sordo area. Today, the artisanal winery manages a total area of 6.5 hectares, with 5.5 hectares dedicated to vineyards and the remainder to hazelnut groves and woodland. With a yearly production of approximately 30,000 bottles, the estate vinifies its entire harvest and produces wines under the Barbaresco DOCG, Barbera D'Alba DOC, Barbera D'Alba DOC Superiore, Barolo DOCG, Dogliani DOCG, and Dolcetto d'Alba DOC denominations. Vineyard management follows natural principles with a strong focus on tradition and low-intervention practices.
