Borgo Moncalvo

About the estate

The Borgo Moncalvo estate, located in Loazzolo in Piedmont, has a history dating back to 1866 and is run as a family business by Pierluigi, Graziella, and their sons Andrea and Luca. The vineyards are situated on predominantly calcareous-marl soils in the Langhe Astigiane and are characterized by historic dry stone walls and extensive terracing. Farming is carefully carried out by hand, taking advantage of the southern exposure and local winds. For vinification, the winery utilizes the patented Vinooxygen system, which allows for processing without racking and supports the production of aromatic wines with a reduced sulfite content. Their portfolio includes wines under the Piemonte DOC denomination.
