About the estate

The Philipps Mühle estate cultivates steep devonian slate sites such as the St. Goarer Frohwingert and St. Goarer Ameisenberg in the Middle Rhine and Rhine regions. The winery has its roots at a historic water mill that was first mentioned in 1264. Across 6.8 hectares of vineyards, the estate produces characterful wines with a primary focus on mineral and fruit-driven Rieslings. Since 2021, the winery has operated according to organic viticulture guidelines and is a member of the ECOVIN association. The wines are aged in wooden casks, among other methods, and reflect the distinct terroir character of the region.
